Council Offers Take A Stance Program for Cadette Scouts

Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts Council is offering a Take a Stance workshop for cadette Scouts on Saturday, March 14 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Cedar Hill in Waltham.
In this intro to self-defense and awareness skills, participants learn escape moves and reflexive actions. The program focuses on setting personal boundaries, and the power of saying “no.” It is presented by Girls’ Lifetime Empowerment and Awareness Program, whose mission is to promote the safety and well-being of girls, women, and their families through focused education programs.
The cost is $15 for Scout and $15 for leader/adult volunteer.
